Die-hard Pirates supporter Mama Joy calls it quits!

Johannesburg – A shocking revelation coming out of the Orlando Pirates fans base unit is that the number one die hard supporter, Mama Joy Chauke has dumped the Sea Robbers.

Chauke who is amongst the top super fans across the country announced her departure from the club to join Shauwn Mkhize’s Royal AM.

She made this announcement in an exclusive interview with Newzroom Afrika on Thursday saying she’s has been disappointed with the outcome of the results at Pirates.

And in this call, she has decided to join the top performing eThekwini-based club.

Chauke said it pained her to see the way MamMkhize and her team suffered when all they wanted was to play top-flight football.

“Eish South Africans, I am here today to tell you that I’m leaving Orlando Pirates, hard as it is, I’m going to Royal AM,” said Chauke.

“So from today, I say no Buccaneers, I’m Royal, her majesty,” said the emotional Chauke as she leaves the team for good.

Chauke is considered by many as the face of one of the loyal supporters to Pirates since having been with the Buccaneers for past 20 years.

She said that the more of reasons she joins the Royal AM, is that MaMkhize has been victimised and this has unsettled her.

“It was hard for me as a woman to see another woman suffer because you can see how she does things,” said Chauke.

“MaMkhize loves football. It pained me to see her being hurt like that. At the end of the day, she managed to buy Bloemfontein Celtic,” she added.

She further said that this are amongst the reason she joined the club to stand in solidarity with Mzansi’s flourishing businesswoman.
