SABC serves interests of the ruling party, not people
IT is no coincidence that SABC viewership is dwindling as people are starting to doubt the quality of the programmes and the selective information that the broadcaster is dishing out to the public.
It is on public record that the SABC has been mired in political factions since the dawn of democracy. Its political commentary is aligned to suit the political ambitions of Luthuli House.
When will other political groupings get airtime to showcase the role they played during apartheid?
As long as its board is replete with cadre deployees, the SABC will remain a broadcaster serving the interests of the state in contrast to the public interest as required by the Constitution.
