Sibusiso John Gcabashe who duped Mgqumeni's family by claiming he was the muso and had been raised from the dead, has been charged with fraud and perjury. While perjury is a serious offence , I am baffled by the fraud charge .

Our prisons are overcrowded and our government is under resourced. This guy must be booked into a mental institution for evaluation. If found to be mentally stable, he should be released on a warning.

I don't recall a case where a civilian was imprisoned for impersonation, unless they pretended to be police officers so as to commit a crime.

I appeal to the state to let this guy go. Don't waste state resources and time - and spare Mgqumeni 's family the misery that a trial might cause them.
