Political analysts rob us of informative analysis of critical issues as they criticise President Jacob Zuma's speeches and the way he presents them. This makes them look desperate, as if there is someone else they are trying to please.

Frankly, fancy speeches, written in complex big words and mixed with poetry have never solved anything. That is why even US President Barack Obama is struggling.

My appeal is that they should rather analyse Zuma's delivery on the people's needs.

Begin when he took office and show empirical projections of South Africa's future.
