ITALIAN police have arrested Mario Cassano, goalkeeper of former Serie B side Piacenza, in connection with an investigation into match fixing, local media reported yesterday.
Police are expected to question Cassano about four games in the past Serie B season, after which Piacenza were relegated.
A person linked to Serie B side Bari was also arrested as prosecutors in Cremona, near Milan, continue a probe that now covers betting agencies in Singapore and eastern Europe and an investigation into four Serie A games played by Bari.
