Bonang, Minnie and Nomzamo stun at L'Ormarins Queen's Plate
The first event on the Mzansi social calendar kicked off in style at the 2016 L'Ormarins Queen's Plate with a star-studded guest-list.
Held at the Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town, on Saturday, the theme for the glitzy outdoor occasion was strictly blue and white. Here are some of our favourite looks.
Sporting a sleek chignon, topped with a fascinator by Elisabet G Millinery, Queen B was the belle of the ball in a 1920s lonsleeve white lace Gert-Johan Coetzee gown, with sheer panel. A matching YDE tote completed Bonang’s modern minimalism ensemble.
TV/radio personality Minnie Dlamini was a regal beauty in a cleavage-hugging corseted Collectiv by Tuelo Nguyuza floral embroidered number.
Isibaya screen siren Nomzamo Mbatha flaunted some sexy cleavage in a strapless Ri.Ch Creative Factory, with a royal blue tulle skirt and peplum African print bodice. Her best accessory was perhaps not her Charlotte Olympia sandals, but rumoured boyfriend Maps Maponyana.
Model Lee-Ann Liebenberg oozed total sex appeal in a sheer saffron lace maxi dress, by designer Melissa Odabash.
Businesswoman Basetsana Kumalo kept it simple and chic in a Gavin Rajah cocktail dress.
