Out there at planet Bundu - Wild animals 'n tame actors

May 7, 2012 | Shwashwi |

On Thursday Shwashwi and sidekick drove all the way to Heidelburg to attend MNet's The Wild's first birthday party. No, actually, being VIPs we were driven there.

Then there was Khabonina Qubeka, who was a ball of nerves in a leopard print dress and stilettoes. You should've seen the heads turn. Actually, spin so fast I thought they'd fall off

At 40km an hour. Yaaaawn!

Damn, that place is so far outta Jozi moi began to search for my passport in a panic.

Is that place even on a GPS?

OK, so we finally arrived at the lodge where they shoot the series. It really is in the wilderness. It's not a set, I swear.

Before the party started, they showed us around for what seemed like forever. My legs started to ache and I was scared we'd attract some wild animals. Imagine. Tjo!

The scenery? Beautiful, neat... almost breathtaking! Nothing fake about the pool, the lawn... even the smiles were genuine. The cast is the happiest bunch of peeps moi has ever seen.

Then it was time for the dooh - an intimate gala type sit-down dinner in a marquee. All terribly tasteful, a few short speeches and a yummy buffet.

Connie and Shona Ferguson's smiles were hypnotising. And they're so in love!

Moi also wants a loving partner.

Anyone?

How about Tyrone Keogh, who was an absolutely perfect gentleman? You should've seen him playing waiter to the ladies. Hmmm, gorgeous and helpful . My type.

Or maybe moi and Minenhle Dlamini would be a better match.

We'd be such fab friends and pose endlessly for lensmen.

So (naturally) high was Mini that she jumped over a metre-high wall just for the fun of it. Hun, we must hang out more.

Also spotted Tumisho Masha, who's getting yummier and trimmer by the day.

Whatever it is, it's working Tumisho. Says he's gonna pen a book about the dos and don'ts involved in achieving his look.

Then there was Khabonina Qubeka, who was a ball of nerves in a leopard print dress and stilettoes. You should've seen the heads turn. Actually, spin.

So fast I thought they'd fall off.

Did someone whisper "overdressed"? Anyways, she told Shwashwi she wanted to look good for her "intro" to The Wild.

Almost forgot to mention Carmel Fisher, whom most will remember from Backstage?

Well, she's now a businesswoman. A hot one too.

Babe, it's a fact that you have a stunning bod but did you really have to wear a stomach out?

Or am I just envious 'cos I also wish I had a six pack?

It's been a while since moi was at such a decent, well organised event, with the most well-behaved people. It was wild!
