MANDLA Mandela, Nelson Mandela's grandson, has been accused of roughing up a woman.
Mandela and an unidentified man allegedly left Amanda Liwani stranded at a Qunu petrol station after Mandela allegedly twisted her arm and the other man grabbed her legs and dragged her out of her bakkie. She claims they also took her keys and driver's licence, and then drove off in her vehicle.
Mandela denies the claims . He says Liwani's bakkie bumped his car as she tried to overtake him.
"She didn't stop . so we followed her to the filling station. That we assaulted her is not true," says Mandela.
Liwani says when she reported the incident atBityi police station an officer said he had apologised to Mandela on her behalf and gave her back her keys and licence.
