Sista gets scandalous
YFM DJ and Sistahood producer Pearl Modiadie has added another title to her list of achievements.
This time in the form of joining the Scandal! cast of superstars.
The presenter, who had a brief stint on SABC soapie Generations, has just begun filming her role in e.tv's much-loved soapie.
He character promises to rock the prime-time soapie, which is in direct competition with another SABC flagship show, Isidingo.
Confirming the good news, the ecstatic Modiadie tells Sunday World she will be playing a character by the name of Kefilwe Malope.
"My debut will be late in January next year but I can't divulge too much due to contractual obligations," she says.
But she describes it as having the elements of Rihanna's We Found Love video.
Unlike her previous role in which she was a call actress, she says this role will be bigger.
However, she says she is not sure exactly how long she will be on the small screen entertaining Scandal! fans along greats such as Sello Maake ka Ncube, Joyce Skefu and Clint Brink. Modiadie says she auditioned for the role and immediately impressed the producers.
Scandal! publicist Alexia de Souza describes Kefilwe as Donna Hardys's (Louise Barnes) secret weapon against the mighty Daniel Nyathi (ka Ncube).
The young and feisty Kefilwe, who has a track record of substance abuse, catches Mangi's (Kagiso Modupe) eye and with ulterior motives, she sets in motion the possible demise of NZH's new CEO.
Apart from her radio and television career, Modiadie is also a Child Trace brand ambassador, a drive that combats and deals with child trafficking.
