THE father of Halle Berry's daughter is headed to court after he was arrested following a fist-fight with her fiancé outside the Oscar-winning actress's Los Angeles home on Thanksgiving, police say.

Canadian model Gabriel Aubry (37, pictured) was released on $20000 (R177500) bail after being charged with misdemeanour battery following the punch-up with French actor Olivier Martinez (46) in the driveway of Berry's house on Thursday.

The teen vampire movie Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 continued to lure huge audiences, siphoning off $12,8m (R114m) in Wednesday night showings in what could fuel a record box-office haul for the five-day Thanksgiving Day holiday. The final film in the Twilight series collected $141,3m (R1,4bn) last weekend for the industry's eighth largest opening weekend.

A Russian court rejected a $10m (R88,7m) compensation claim against US pop star Madonna on Thursday by a group of anti-gay activists who accused her of hurting their feelings by promoting homosexuality at a St Petersburg concert.

The Big Bang Theory actress Mayim Bialik and her husband are divorcing after nine years of marriage, she said in a statement on her Facebook page. Bialik and Michael Stone have two sons together.
