THE organisers of the American Music Awards feel they were snubbed by some top musos who did not pitch up.
None of the three popular music stars - Katy Perry, named favourite female pop/rock artist, Shakira (pictured), named favourite Latin artist and Beyoncé, voted favourite soul artist - attended.
One of the highlights was when R&B star Usher kicked off the night with a medley of his hits on a laser-filled stage, while pop-rocker Pink teamed a performance of her latest single Try with a dramatic interpretive dance covered in paint with a male dancer on a stage filled with burning debris.
