The drama, which is based on a family that owns a wedding planning company, explores dynamics of love, family feuds and dark secrets of the Moswane family.
Reyneke, 28, is set to play Thandi, an enthusiastic wedding planner on the drama that will replace Gold Diggers next month.
She said her character is a workaholic who lives for her work.
"Thandi comes in first and leaves last at work. She is a person who carries a lot of burden everyday. I think that is why she throws herself so deeply into her work," she said.
She said her character loves seeing other's happiness come through even if her own life has to take a break.
Reyneke told Sunday World that she prepared for the role by choosing one of her friends who has similar characteristics to Thandi.
"I looked at her characteristics, the way she behaves and talks, then prepared for the auditions," she said.
She said she is a tomboy and not lady inclined, therefore becoming a lady while playing Thandi was a big challenge.
Reyneke said she loves acting because she gets to be the lady her mother always wanted her to be.
"I am a boy at heart that is why I chose to be an actress because my mother gets to see me be this lady she wants me to be," she said.
She said her first television break was when she played a receptionist on Muvhango.
Breaking Vows premieres on e.tv on April 10 at 8pm.
