‘My affair with Crous is not adulterous’

Khanyisile Mbau confirms having received correspondence from Primrose Crous’ lawyer. “I find her letter very offensive,” she says when asked about the latest allegation that she stole Theunis Crous.

“She can’t send me a letter about something she can’t prove. She is clutching at straws,” Mbau says.

“My advice to her is that she must solve her own problems.

“The law in this country doesn’t say that people must ask for permission from other people to speak or make friends, or even date other people. They need to prove that I have an adulterous relationship with him [Crous].

“It is downgrading for her lawyers to write a letter trying to stop me from talking to people of my choice.

“It’s like hanging her dirty laundry in public herself.

“Instead of doing what she is doing, she should have arranged a meeting with me, herself and our lawyers to talk about it. People must start focusing on serious issues than petty issues like this,” says Mbau.

While Mbau was forthcoming with her comments, Crous was furious when he responded.

He says he does not know anything about the interdict.

“What are you talking about? Who brought that interdict? I have never in my entire life heard of any court passing an order which forces people to leave their credit cards open even when they don’t have money,” he said.

“No credit card has unlimited funds. The maximum funds on credit cards is R200000.”

He said he was not going to comment about his private life.

“Whether I am divorcing or not, it’s not your problem. Who I am going out with is none of any newspaper’s business.

“Why don’t you write about Khanyi’s new song ?” he reasoned.

Primrose refused to comment, referring all queries to her lawyers.

“I don’t talk about my life in public. Talk to my lawyers, they will tell you everything,” she said.
