MULTI-AWARD winning US rock band Maroon 5 did something special for their Daylight video.

They interacted with their fans and got to feature a number of them in the video, which is part of the project Playing For Change that helps to unite up-and-coming musicians across the world.

Maroon 5 is also featured in the video performing the single live at an outdoor concert.

Daylight was released mid-year last year and the video followed in December.

The song is taken off their fourth studio album, Overexposed.

It's always great seeing artists making a change with their music and actually producing something meaningful that fans will remember for years to come.

Led by sexy lead vocalist Adam Levine, Maroon 5 has remained consistent in the music industry since the release of their debut album back in 2002.

They have a massive following and everywhere they go they are guaranteed sold out shows.

The hits haven't stopped - recently they released Misery and Moves Like Jagger, both from their third studio album Hands All Over.

Their fourth studio album also produced hits such as Payphone, One More Night and Daylight.

The group originally formed in 1994 and was called Kara's Flowers

After the release of their first album, which wasn't well received, the group parted ways and went to college.

They regrouped in 2001, added a new member and changed their name to Maroon 5.
